On behalf of PodUniversal, PodMagazine, today afternoon, I could get Mr Jarnail Singh, the reporter who threw shoe on the Indian Home Minsiter P Chidambaram and asked his reactions as to what prompted him to behave like that during the Press Conference. I recorded his exclusive podcast interview.
He explained the circumstances under which he threw the shoe on the Minister. Though the cameras were showing as if the shoe was thrown on the Minister, he said, he threw on the open space near the Minister, to mark his protest.
He regretted for his action. He is also prepared to say 'sorry' to the Minister. He does not want this incident to be politicalised. He wants stringent laws against communal violence, just like we have for terrorism. He also wants justice for 1984 riots. He has appealed to the people not to resort to violence on this issue and any protest should be done in a peaceful manner.
