Hi,
Picture this:
THE Rahul Gandhi-who is always surrounded by security and chamchas, stops his car at a signal.
A poor 10-year old rushes in with newspapers. Rahul checks his pockets, hapless guy doesn't have change - so he stares back teary-eyed at the child-not because he is feeling bad at child employment-but because he can't read his favourite newspaper as he doesn't have change.
The magnanimous and mature boy reads between the lines and hands over the newspaper for free.
A happy Rahul smiles happily and the car leaves the signal.
The boy straddles back to his corner with lots of memories to relate to his slum lord who is equally happy and applauds this act of generosity.
Rahul and his party decided to 'adopt' the child. Sum assured is a grand Rs. 1000 a month!! Wow-that is a lot of money considering that there is no inflation in India.

The Congress should have instead traced stories that are at least 4 years old and displayed the difference they made in people's lives by supporting their education/shelter/food. That would be more believable than this rubbish they are using to clean the image of the Congress.
PR Gurus advising the Congress need to wake up and smell the coffee-we live in the information world.
Yeh public hai-sab jaanti hai.

Congress 'adopts' boy who gave newspaper to Rahul Gandhi for free

On Saturday, state Congress Chief Kantilal Bhuria met Kaushal Shakya and his father Dulichand Shakya at the party office in Bhopal and announced, after felicitating the boy, that Congress was "adopting" him.
Mr Bhuria said the party would give Rs. 1,000 per month to the boy, who had told Mr Gandhi that he wanted to become a doctor.
Kaushal, a class 5 student, sells newspapers. On April 25, when Mr Gandhi was heading for
Raja Bhoj airport in a car, Kaushal approached him and requested him to buy a newspaper.Mr Gandhi took the newspaper and handed him a Rs.1,000 note, but the boy returned it, saying he had no change, and he was offering the copy for free.
The Congress Vice President then had a brief chat with him.
