RE: [prpoint] Re: [Media Forum] Re: {Indian PR Forum} Good PR for Ciongress? Adoption of a boy who gave newspaper to Rahul Gandhi for free

More than the obvious PR angle, what is more worrying is the disconnect that the Congress Prince has from ground reality. Offering a Rs 1000 note for a 3-buck newspaper!!!!!

Also shows the Congress' desperation to eke out a story to portray their Prince's ''human face''.

Communist USSR used the same strategy to create the image for their then ruler, Lenin.

I think we are focussing on how unbelievable the story sounds. A deeper angle towards what PR advisors to the government are wanting to achieve from such publicity gimmicks.
Do such gimmicks work in the info-age of today?

Warm Regards,

Adoption of a boy who gave newspaper to Rahul Gandhi for free

Slightly different view here. What are we focusing on? On a free newspaper
or involvement of Rahul Gandhi in the same?

Obviosuly "Mr.Gandhi" knows how much a newspaper cost but do we really
expect him to carry tender change or any money at all. How many ministers
at this level keep money during such official visits when govt is paying
everything.

I don't see this as a pre planned activity to obtain some publicity. It can
happen with anyone. Just the matter Rahul Gandhi was involved so media got
the reason to flash it.

Rest what happened, Congress is well known for optimizing such
opportunities.
