Association of Business Communicators of India (ABCI) has honoured three of our members with prestigeous awards during their 47th Annual Awards Night held on 11th Jan 07.
Ms K Bhavani, Director, Communication of Govt. of Singapore was awarded "Global Communicator Award". She has been taking active role in the global communication of Singapore Government. She has also intoduced Accreditation process for PR professionals at Singapore. He is taking active interest in bringing together the PR bodies in South Asia.
Dr G P C Nayar, Chairman, SCMS Group of Educational Insittuions, Kochi, was awarded the "Life Time Achievement Award". He is the first person in India (in private sector) to introduce a regular communication education in early 70s with proper syllabus. He is also running Institutes at Kochi for Communication and Management. He is a PR person turned communication educator. He is associated with PR movement in India for more than 40 years.
Mr M B Jayaram, General Manager, Karnataka Power Corporation, Bangalore was awarded the "Communicator of the decade Award". He is associated with the PR movement of India for more than three decades. He is one of the Founders of Public Relations Council of India.(PRCI) Presently, he is the Chairman of National Council of PRCI. .
We are proud that these eminent professionals are with us in our Group. On behalf of the members of the group, I congratulate them for their well deserved recognition.
