Re: [Image_Management] LAGAAN + T20 CHAMPS = PR-e-SENSE!!

Dear Friends,

Its really a wonderful moment for all of US.... we have all got benefitted with the Vision and Hard Work of Srinivasan sir.
It was his great Vision that communication need to be really communicated, and I am really happy that his Vision has been recognised.

I am also happy that, not only has Srinivasan sir been a perfect mentor, but has also proved that we neednt fear who we are competing with when we really know what our strengths are and do our work perfectly. He has again set an example for many youngsters who want to make their mark in their profession and life!!!

Congratulation Sir.

Regards,
Subha Ganesh

Dear Friends:

Our international members, please pardon me for using this example of an Oscar nominated movie - LAGAAN to convey my message. But, the real communication breaks all barriers of language or culture and it speaks only one language. The language of winning! Not only winning markets and consumers but winning hearts too!

Almost, all of our Indian readers would know the story of LAGAAN. A village cricket team without any equipments or knowledge about cricket wins against the mighty English cricket team on a last ball. (Well, it was a movie - so anything is possible!)

The cricket fans world over would know the extra ordinary victory our Indian cricket team had at first T20 World Championship. There were no stars and nobody expected our team to move even beyond the league matches but MSD and his team created a history. The so called legends (they still remain 'legends' only) Sachin, Rahul and Saurav may not be able to ever lift any World Cup trophy in their hand throughout their long and rewarding career!

What these two mentions got to do with PR-e-Sense?

On January 11, 2008, a lazy Friday evening in a city of Mumbai (Bombay), one young man's heart was pumping blood faster than many other members of the audience assembled to salute the communicators from across the country. The moment was the announcement of the winners of ezine category in the 47th Annual ABCI (Association of Business Communicators of India) Awards. He was told by ABCI that he has won an award for his ezine. Bronze was announced, silver was announced and this young man was wondering where's his award?

Yes, ladies and gentleman!!! The GOLD  went to our young K. Srinivasan for PR-e-Sense! I was present for the evening and though I heard few claps from the 500+ audience, it was probably the loudest applause for PR-e-Sense. The efforts by Srinivasan and his small team of people, who have been devoting quality time after office hours and spending their weekend holidays to roam around in the cities to get the interviews, do the layout, thinking about the theme and so on... to bring out India's only corporate ezine on PR continuously from past twenty two months!!

The competition was no less! They had all the money and power of corporate giants to bring out ezines. Money, manpower and resources to deploy at will but there came a well deserved winner, whom not many people expected to see walking away with GOLD.

My heartiest congratulations to the entire team of PR-e-Sense and Mr. Srinivasan for winning this award. It is indeed a proud moment for all our group members and everyone associated with the ezine in one or the other manner. It is indeed a proud moment for all our readers too, without them this wouldn't have been achieved.

The journey has just started and only thing I can say is... Manzile miltee gayee aur Caravan banta gaya (crudely translated...As we found the way, the caravan got created! :-)

This is indeed a very happy New Year!

Warm regards,

Tushar
