For several days we discussed on "avoiding News Agencies for PR conferences"
This is yet another similar issue.
If a glass is half filled with water, the PR man will have to say the fact that 'glass is half filled with water'. The Journalist will say that 'glass is half empty', because it is his duty to point out what is missing. He may even say 'the glass is half filled with some other liquid other than water' just as an Auditor points out deficiencies in a numerical statement presented by an Accountant. This is an universal truth.
If there is 'thesis', there must be 'anti-thesis' for a better 'synthesis'. After all, PR Practitioners and Journalists are cousins and disputes between cousins are quite common.

Hey People,
All this talk about Anti PR journalists and Bloggers is all gas....
Yes there are media houses who talk about not taking the help of PR
to find stories but the reality is that in todays world,
EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHER HAS A PR AGENCY...... .........
And the Bigger Truth is that Clients are mainly interested in seeing
their names in the media rather than explore the total gamut of PR
and what it can achieve..
The day clients accept that PR is not just Media Relations then we
will be in a better situation.

Manoj
