Mr KR Singh died on the day of Durgashtami i.e. 7th October 2008 which is an auspicious day. Very fortunate he is. May his soul rest in peace. May Almighty grant peace to the bereaved family.
One should die. It is the will of the God. Death is inevitable to a mortal body. Death is not seen as the final "end", but is seen as a turning point in the seemingly endless journey of the indestructible soul. Hence Hinduism on par with Christianity and also Islamism, prohibits excessive mourning or lamentation upon death, as this can hinder the easy passage of the departed soul towards its journey ahead.
To make Mr KR Singh immortal, let us heed to the advice of Dr CV Narasimha Reddi to institute an award or dedicate something to remember Mr KR Singh forever.

Subject: [prpoint] Homage to Mr K R Singh
I was shocked to learn that K R Singh, popularly known as "KR" has passed away in New Delhi on October 7. He was beloved by all in the PR profession for his knowledge, sense of humor, humane approach and loving care.
I have known KR since more than three decades who was a shining star and a leading light in every all India PR conference with his inspiring speeches. His services to the cause of Indian Public Relations both as National President, PRSI (1985-87) and Chairman, India Foundation for Public Relations Education and Research (IFPR) will always remain green in our minds forever. As Chairman, IFPR, KR was responsible for bringing out a number of publications including two volumes on Public Relations case studies in the Indian context. These two volumes of case studies made a mark in professionalsing Indian PR. KR is also remembered for his 15th All India PR conference with the theme ' India and the New World Order ' held in New Delhi in 1991, when P.V.Narasimha Rao ji inaugurated this conference in which KR with his humorous professional speech made PV to laugh. This laugh brought PRSI and Government of India closer. I worked as Director, IFPR when KR entrusted me the job of conducting Post-graduate Diploma in Public Relations,. We not only conducted Diplomas but also gave Certificates to the successful candidates. That was yet another accomplishment of KR. He gave me all support when I was National President, PRSI including in conducting 11th All India PR Conference in Hyderabad. He was also instrumental in my efforts to bring out the Public Relations Voice. I feel his death is a personal loss to me.
In his death the Indian PR profession has lost a tower of strength. I appeal to both PRSI and PRCI to consider the proposal of instituting a national award in the memory of KR Singh.
On behalf of Public Relations Voice, I salute KR for his outstanding contribution to the growth of Pr movement and PRSI and convey my heart-felt condolences to the members of the bereaved family. May his soul rest in peace.
Former Natinoal President, PRSI
