It's disheartening to note that the ICICI PR is not raising the measure of trust or faith for reasons well known to them.
As pointed out by Mr. Srinivasan the ICICI has really lost personal touch among its customers and well wishers might be for the following reasons
a. arrogance personified in their rendering the service and b. is that they always want big and not the common man.Hence the sympathy factor could not be mobilised. Moreover the bank is facing lot of legal hurdles and hence these days of regret and to maintain the credibility the RBI had to step in.
Why K V Kamath a seasoned banker could not raise the credibility of the bank then it is ideal he should step down. ICICI lacks in transparency many times and they go round beating the bush and the poor PR cannot be blamed. It will be really wonderul if ICICI works hard to post better results this year so that the credibility and position can be maintained at all levels as claimed by the management.
Thanks and regards

During times of crisis complete transparency is required, hopefully there are no hidden skeletons.
What the company says does not matter in these times because it is the very best institutions globally that have vanished overnight. People are scared, they know that it is PR at work..unfortunately in such times corporations have low credibility which is the foundation of PR.
What the bank did was all that it could do..only time and results will build confidence.
What happened in the US is a warning to indian companies and regulators, let not greed of rapid growth overshadow the need for prudent regulation .
Only time ,action and performance work in this case PR has limited role.

It was an interesting point you have touched about the Indian bank and ICICI Bank. I have an account with both the banks and I notice the difference in service level with ICICI superior to the level of service offered but is also vulnerable for poor service at the other extreme as a mistake undetected has a spiraling effect
for example, I once received 3 cheque books and once was without a cheque book for unduly long, bank was unable to explain. The moderate but customer friendly approach of Indian Bank staff is missing with the young vibrant target oriented ICICI employees who are more system oriented than people oriented
The staff at Indian bank see you more and talk to you more than a staff at ICICI who deals with tokens, numbers and activities than people.
I am looking forward to more views frommembers which is interesting to note
with best wishes and warm regards
