Cyber Crime is an evil having its origin in the growing dependence on computers in modern life. In a day and age when everything from microwave ovens and refrigerators to nuclear power plants is being run on computers, cyber crime has assumed rather sinister implications. While the worldwide scenario on cyber crime looks bleak the situation in India isn't any better.
The Indian authorities are aware of fight ahead, but the future does not look optimistic. There is potential for improvement but most cases remain unreported due to lack of awareness. Law should be stringent and there need to be training for govt. agencies and professionals in computer forensics.
