[prpoint] Chennai PR club sets new trend

dear friends

I congratulate the new office bearers of Chennai PR Club.  This is a  PR organisation  with youngsters.  They have set a new trend in Indian PR industry, though small.

We have featured the International organizations ilike  CIPR, PRISA, IABC and PRSA n our ezine.  They are all large bodies with good systems in place.  They have a good succession plan.  They elect their President or Chair.  They also identify the next year's President now itself.  This concept helps them to run their organisation well.  Within one year term, each President plans a good intiative and implements.  Since the next year President is also decided earlier, they are able to function smoothly.

Now Chennai PR Club has adopted this process.  Narrendiran will be the President till Dec. 2009. Veena will succeed in 2010.  Narendiran has informed   that he would  soon announce his 'theme' for 2009 in consultation with his team.   He would focus on that theme during 2009. Similarly, 2010 President Veena will have her own theme for 2010.   This process will go on.  In this process, every youngster would get an opportunity to lead the team and to implement ideas for the benefit of young professionals. They have a young team of office bearers.  Let us all give them our support for their plans.

Congratulations again to the new team.
