On the whole, we don't think there is any need to panic as far as India's PR industry is concerned. Indian economy has more or less remained untouched by the current global recession which has damaged the economies of most of the advanced countries of the world. Same would be applicable for India's PR industry too.
At any given time, and applicable to all industries - not only PR industry, there is no room for non-performers. Non-performers have to vacate to make room for the performers. But if some PR agencies are resorting to unethical practices to undermine the position of their competitors, this is bad and should be stopped.
PR in its present structured form started in India late. But it has a great going now and a blooming future ahead. So, let us tighten our belts and work hard to take the position of the global leader in Public Relations.
