Gain or no gain, its important for us to contribute to the society around us. Some CSR activities that we can undertake are:
Picnic with purpose - go to villages around us with a community activity like education, film show etc.,
Contribute a day's salary to the common pool for CSR (better call it than charity) and use the funds for employee CSR or join CRY, Help Age etc., who are any way doing a good job.
Or at personal level, adopt a child care activity under CRY.
It is not always necessary to do CSR in cash. One can contribute thoughts and ideas as well. For instance, a blog or poster campaign on the need to vote and going beyond candles in crisis like Mubai terror attacks.

Dear All,
Being good, honest and following the laws of the land is the greatest
CSR. Anything done in for personal gain is not CSR but is only a
business.
Thanks
