It so happened that yesterday I got a sms from AT-Winners informing that I have won some huge amount as part of the Shell International Mobile Draw 2009. There was an instruction to respond immediately to an email id that was given. As Shell Company name was mentioned, it added some credibility but still to verify when I searched the company website, no such contest was mentioned. When I searched in google, there were similar cases and complaints from people receiving such sms and some had even given their bank details for the transfer of money. But at the end, it was scam. If someone from Shell is present in the group, I request him/her to take this matter into consideration and convey the message to their customers. Also I feel that mobile service providers play an important role here because most of the database is being given by them for promotional messages.
