| Hi there, Normally, there are standing instructions in Banks that things like,Electricity Bill, LIC Premium, Gas connection Bill etc. paid by cheque, should not be dis-honoured by Bank .Also if really there is no balance, efforts should be made to contact the customer to deposit money, by holding the cheque for a day. The exaample given shows, a bad response to customer complaint. Yes, Banks in such cases, should be penalised for the gross injustice done to customer. Having worked in different banks for over 40 years, I have many good as well as bad custoner service stories. Good are less, where as bad are more. s.n.surkund |
