I agree. It is proved that twitter.com is very powerful media. Shashi Tharoor, India's MOS for external affairs is using twitter very effectively to communicate and connect the world. August issue of ezine on 'Twitter' is very timely.

hi friendsShashi Tharoor, India's MOS for external affairs is an ardent twitter. I have been following his tweets regularly. He tweets with lot of information, links, photos through his blackberry. In the early days, when i responded to his tweets, he also responded to me with another tweet. Probably, members would have read our August issue of ezine on Twitter. Nowadays, Twitter is growing as an interactive media. In many of the developed countries, public can get in touch with their elected representatives through twitter. Even in our neighbouring countries like singapore, malaysia twitter is used politically to interact with citizens. When we released the ezine on Twitter, we never expected that twitter would become so popular so soon that too within a fortnight! :)One journalist asked shashi tharoor whether he would travel by 'cattle class' meaning economy class. Immediately shasi tweeted back saying that he was prepared to travel in "cattle class out of solidarity with all our holy cows".The entire political group rose in one voice against shashi tharoor for alleged description of general public as 'cattle class'. Many of them came to know of Twitter only then. For the past one week, this news item is getting telecast regularly.Few weeks back, the number of followers which was in few hundreds for Shashi Tharoor, has now crossed more than 2 lakhs. Every second, tweets are made in twitter about this incident defending Sashi.@ShashtiTharoor http://twitter.com/ShashiTharoo is now made the Ambassador for Twitter in India! @Jack, the founder of Twitter should thank our Indian media, TV for giving so much of publicity for Twitter.r SrinivasanModerator91766 50273
