[prpoint] Debate: Do high profile institutions produce professionals with right       attitude?

Hi Friends,

I don't think that Mr Srinivasan is wrong in his observation. In majority of cases the professionals from high profile B School lack good human skills, humility and are far far away from ground realities.  The reason could be -

  1. Only people born with golden spoon can afford to study in big B Schools. They move within elite circle and their needs and dreams are totally different from the majority of middle income groups.
  2. Even corporate houses treat them with special packages because of their brand value and academic excellence. Their status compared to other collegues is differentiated.
  3. Since most of their desire and dreams are met quite early compare to other professionals, arrogance get into their head.

Whereas professionals from low profile B schools or for that matter professionals from middle class have to prove a point to the management, to their collegues to improve their status, etc.  Obviously they have to work harder to achieve all their desires and dreams to come true. Therefore, attitude plays vital role in deciding their career prospect.

Humble and humility comes from family and also to large extent by experiencing sufferings and going through pain. No wonder our Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi was so successful as a freedom fighter.  He travelled in train that too in 3rd class with common man. Lived in ashram, lead simple life and touch the chord of 'Aam Aadmi'.

Last but not the least Attitude is Altitude.

Thanks.
