[prpoint] Media Mind-prints across 25 Indian Cities

300 youth create history in 25 cities

305 youth to be precise and their 28 seniors are currently spread across 25 cities of India, organizing Media Mind-prints 2010, over 50 days, with an average of one event every two days!

The event is focussed on the broad theme: Youth, Media and Sustainable Living, and has four sessions: inaugural, green, media, and contests (like Quiz, Poster design, Photography, etc), interspersed with films related to environment etc.

The event is completely being managed by the youth, with resources raised by them, network established within three to four weeks of starting the project, and inviting 500-700 youth of various colleges of that city. The project creates awareness on protection of nature and doing our individual bit towards a more sustainable life and hence is preceded by smaller events like tree plantation, poster-design competition, oratory on green issues, et al.

The project initiated by the School of Communication of the International School of Business & Media, based out of Pune, NOIDA and Kolkata, has now been lapped up by hundreds of schools and colleges, media and ecology experts and practitioners, and the Brahmakumari family, among others, and they are all participating enthusiastically.

After covering Raipur and Bengaluru, Media Mind-prints is all set to have a great show in Harihara Kala Bhavan, near Patny Chowk, in Hyderabad, tomorrow, 28th of October, followed by Shillong on 30th of October and Guwahati on 31st of October. Other cities to be covered are Indore, Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Kolkata, Patna, Dehradoon, Chandigarh, Noida, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Navi Mumbai, Nagpur, Udaipur and Chennai, till December 10, leaving the Diwali week.

The meets are also focussing on the current trends in media and issues connected to media and social responsibility, media and globalization.

Anyone interested in any of these events in any city may write to niraj.langote@isbmmedia.edu.in or pooja.meshram@isbmmedia.edu.in or sms to o-93733-11239.
