Re: [prpoint] Re: Why PR bodies conspicuously silent about Radiagate?

Friends:

If one is sitting in a glass house, one does not throw stones at others. Most PR bodies have as members busy bodies who have no connection with Professional PR. They are essentially relationship managers who provide patronage for PR events, as part of penetrating every influential pocket..

When you accept QUID, the rest follows. PR bodies dare not engage in weeding.

PRGATE at smaller level keep happening.

We have all heard the Radia tape leaks by now , the impact of the conversation between journalist and Radia and her clients is now slowly spreading to the PR profession . If you read the comments posted on media blogs you would see that there is an anger amongst the public on the nexus between media , the politicians and the large corporate houses . Do you feel that the debate has now come full circle to our doorsteps , that the very role of PR in influencing media and government policy on behalf of clients may now get questioned ?

In this case the thin line was crossed , media relations which is a legitimate tool we all use as PR practitioners was misused .It is time we sit back and reflect till the other day we were pointing fingers now the fingers are being pointed at us !
