Mr Irfan Khan, a veteran communication legend of our country has been honoured with Life Time Achievement Award by exchange4Media. Please read the report.

Mr Irfan Khan is in Mumbai. He is a legendary person in the Public Relations field. I know him personally from his Hindustan Lever days (early 1990s). Even today, he keeps himself updated with the technology and with trends in PR field.
He is now the Chairman of Sampark, a leading PR Agency.

IPRCC Awards 2013: Lifetime Achievement Award for Irfan Khan
Veteran communication consultant Irfan Khan was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award at exchange4media's India PR & Corporate Communications Awards, held in the Capital on May 31, 2013. This Award is to honour an industry stalwart who has contributed to the emergence and growth of the PR & corporate communications industry in India.
Khan began his career as a newspaper reporter in 1957 and worked for Press Trust of India, Hindustan Times, Link & Patriot, Current Weekly, South Wales Echo, Sunday Times London, and Indian Express.
In 1975, he moved to business communications, working for Hindustan Unilever as Communications Manager, General Manager, Corporate Communications and finally as Vice President, Corporate Communications. He retired from Unilever in 2000.
The same year, that is, in 2000, Coca Cola India invited him to join their Management Committee as Vice President, Corporate Affairs. He held this post from 2000 to 2003.
He currently works as part-time Communications Consultant with several firms and is Chairman of Sampark, a communications and public relations firm based in Mumbai.
Speaking to exchange4media on the Award, Khan said, "For me, this Award is recognition from my colleague, especially younger colleagues. I retired a decade back and so interacting with the new generation and sharing their experiences and lauding them today for the work they are doing means a lot."
