hi all
Now for the past two days, the letter addressed to President Obama by 65 Members of Indian Parliament against granting visa to Narendra Modi is debated by all the media. I attach herewith the letter dated 5th December 2012 singed by 65 MPs for your information.
Some of the MPs have openly denied having signed such memorandum to President Obama. I also had a personal conversation with some of the MPs who have signed this letter.
I personally feel that all the Parliamentarians have been taken for ride by few people. In my view, all the 65 signatures are genuine. The MPs with whom I have spoken have confirmed their signatures. Definitely, they are not forged. From the information gathered from different MPs, i have understood as follows. Since none of the media has brought out this angle, I am making this open for further investigation by the media and by the Hon'ble Speaker of Lok Sabha.
1. One of the MPs is reported to have taken the signatures of various MPs in the Central Hall during the middle of December 2012 showing the memorandum on Srilankan Issue and Fishermen Issue. Since all the parties have a common stand in India in Srilankan issue, they signed the petition without hesitation. None of the MPs, with whom I spoke saw this memorandum addressed to President Obama. They remember to have seen a petition on Srilankan issue.
2. It is also suspected that the original memorandum might have been replaced with the new letter addressed to President Obama. If you see the attached letter, only two MPs have sgined in Page 2. All other signatures are only attachments in a plain paper. This is a breach of privilege and breach of trust. Somebody has taken the MPs for ride.

3. Generally, media persons and the Members of Parliament used to be available in the Central Hall of Parliament. If the concerned MP who got the signature had brought this 'letter to Obama' for signatures, it would have been noticed by the media persons and the BJP members and the issue might have flared up in media then. It is argued, since some other memorandum of common interest was shown for signatures, nobody took it seriously.
3. The letter addressed to President Obama is dated 5th December 2012.. In the signatures page, under serial number 21, Mr Lal Singh MP has signed with the date as 13.12.2012. Under serial number 22, Mr Thirumavalavan MP has signed with date as 18.12.2012. It is quite surprising that the letter sent to President Obama dated 5th December 2012 bears the signatures of subsequent dates.
4. Such letter to the head of a foreign Government shows the Indian Parliamentarians in poor light. To rectify this, the Hon'ble Speaker should order a detailed investigation into the matter punish the people behind this shameful act.
