ALL or American league of Lobbyists the most power ful institution in USA wants to rebrand itself as the League of Government Relations professionals and wants to drop 'Lobbyists from its name plate.NYT comment section suggests that the League should call itself 'Congress Plus, as it functionsas an extension of the US Congress.This appears most apppropritate because the legue employs 400 ex legislators,and memebrs of teh Congress staff estimated at 5400.This is in addition to dozens of Lobbyists who shed their Lobbyist title to join Congressional committees and work as insiders who bend laws.
The change over has been suggested because many people working in Lobbying industry have begun boutiques of specialised services suchas political strategising,campaign fund raising.ALL may rebrand but it can never recast its role,says NYT. .
