Perfect Relations Parts Ways With Infosys Amid Media Lawsuits

BANGALORE—Infosys and PR agency Perfect Relations have parted ways amid the Indian tech giant's decision to issue defamation notices against three newspapers.
The IT company has shifted its Indian PR assignment to Adfactors. Perfect took charge of the Infosys PR mandate last year, becoming the Indian IT giant's first PR firm in 12 years.
"We decided to very consciously let go of them because there were a few decisions taken unilaterally which are not in sync with what we would recommend to them," said Perfect Relations CEO Valerie Pinto. "It did create a media outburst and we work with all media."
"After careful consideration, we believe it to be in our mutual interest to part ways," added Pinto.
However, Infosys global leader of corporate communications Sukanya Ghosh claimed that the company had "decided to re-evaluate its agency partnerships," based on its "strategic priorities."
