Its a great piece of news.But the problem is not limited to TNCA. Most clubs in Bnglore and other parts of the country have similar/ stupid dress codes.Accordingly ,there is need for a uniform solution /action .

Thanks for the views. The matter has been debated in Tamil Nadu Assembly. One of the advocates filed a PIL in the High Court and is coming up for hearing today. Meanwhile, I remember two instances:
1. Mahatma Gandhi changed to 'dhoti' only at Madurai to represent the Indan culture. When he went to meet King George V at London, there was a dilemma about his dress. As per the Palace rules, only their formal dress was allowed when anybody wanted to meet the King. Since Mahatma Gandhi did not want to change his dress and he represented 35 crores of Indians, the Palace rules were officially suspended to allow Mahatma Gandhi inside Palace with 'dhoti'.
2. Few years ago, I went to Nepal on an official visit at the invitation of then Kingdom. In the Inauguration of Conference presided over by the King, they had the rule that all Nepal citizens should attend the conference with their national dress. (Nepal has national dress) They gave exemption to foreigners like us. But they suggested us, to attend the Conference in the national dress of our country. Since India does not have any national dress, they suggested us to attend the inauguration in dhoti.
When foreign countries respect our own traditional attire like dhoti, the Clubs like TNCA (affiliated to scam tinted BCCI), bans Indian dress inside their premises. Unfortunately, they are using the land and premises of the Government on a long lease. TNCA never felt ashamed when their colleagues involved themselves in the biggest scam of the country. But these officials felt ashamed when a sitting judge of the High Court entered their premises (which is on long lease from Govt) in dhoti.
Such shameful banning happens in all parts of India in many Clubs and Hotels. Will these Clubs and Hotels operating in Arab Countries have courage to ban the traditional or national dress in Arab Countries. Why this hypocrisy for India?
I feel a time has come now that we revisit the archived rules of these ancient Clubs and Hotels and complete the process of Independence by framing new rules to suit the independent India.

When all the countries respect their own traditions and national culture, some of the arrogant organisations like TNCA shames Indians like this. They never felt ashamed when their mother organisation BCCI got involved in scams.
Dhtoti clad Late Shri K Kamaraj was the King Maker of India and he installed two Prime Ministers and toured the world only wearing Dhoti. Former Prime Ministers Lal Bahadur Shastri, Narasimha Rao, Vajpayee used to wear dhoti even in important Conferences attended by foreign diplomats.
Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram and present Home Minister Rajnath Singh used to feel proud in attending Conferences with dhoti worn nicely. Nowadays, even Corporate CEOs feel proud in attending their Board Meetings in dhoti. It is a shame that some of the ancient clubs follow the British rule. Please read the story.

Tamil Nadu Government observes one day as 'Dhoti day' every year to promote 'dhoti' among the students and office goers. Unfortunately TNCA (Chairman: popular N Srinivasan who is in lime light) has chosen to humiliate arrogantly a sitting judge of High Court, for wearing dhoti.
I plan to take up in the Parliament through some of the MPs. Is there any other Club or hotel in other parts of India who follow this practice of not allowing traditional dress of India. Please inform me through mail.
These Clubs are taking all benefits from the Government, including the lands on long lease. But still they feel that they belong to British days.
