dear friends
I am very happy to inform that 35 media trainees of Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication (SIMC), Pune have joined our group today. Many of them got the placements in PR /Corpcom and shortly, they will be with us as professionals. On behalf of our group, we l welcome them to our fold and assure them all our cooperation for their success in the profession. They can feel free to use this network and interact with learned seniors for improving their skills.
As I wrote last week, SIMC is the first Institution in our country to introduce 'social media' as one full paper (100 marks) in the curriculum. The paper includes usage of social media for communication and even cyber law. There will be marks for creation of blogs, podcasts. When we introduce'social media' in the curriculum, the students will get the right perspective of such important tools within the ambit of the law. I was also involved in finalising the contents. Having introduced this subject in the academic institution, we can continue to improve further in the days to come. I am confident the other Universities and Institutions also will introduce 'Social media' as part of their curriculum in their media, pr and journalism courses.
I had an opportunity of interacting with the above 35 trainees at Pune last week. I am sure that they will be great asset for our profession, when they join the industry in a few weeks from now.
