I agree with Arun sir especially on the Employee Communication. I work for a distribution house which is into importing Professional Audio, Video and IT based products. We have been into this business for more than 20 years now.

The Rupee vs Dollar Ratio has been changing drastically since last 2 weeks. Our CEO had sent an email to all the employees stating the current scenario around he world and making us understand on the Cost Saving on the "Not So Important" activities. It also mentioned the path the organization choose to work, it can either be a wait and watch game or else we need to keep going ahead though in a slow manner to overcome this crisis. We prefer to steer ahead.
such kind f email communication was not only a inspirational one but it also helped all the employees to understand the crunch happening all over. It made such an impact that all the managers have got the confidence even to convince our dealer network and explain the Price Hike in our Product range.
This kind of Communication helps the employee to understand the crisis and makes him feel that the organization is one family.

What are the options available to the CC team - for damage control on - Employee Communications - External Communications My take: - Employee Communication - A simple communication to employees about the difficult times - and that the entire team is together is a huge strength of the group - therefore - let us all work together to get out of the difficult situaltion - by focussing on performance, service quality and cost saving. - External - Avoid talks of credit sharing / stealing of the reinstatment episode - rather - make an annoucement (dramatic enough) to help media change track. It could relate to acquiring of aircraft, new routes, routes rationalisation or even fares. Over to the gang.
