Re: [prpoint] Internal PR for IT Companies

Vikram...
Its important to maintain transparency at such times. Its important to keep on communicating as normal, as no news could be perceived as bad news. Buisness should go about as usual.
As a communication professional now is the time to be really in the loop of all the information flowing around. Also keep an ear open for rumors. Best place to know whats going around will be the lunch area and places where persons smoke. Please instruct unit managers to be careful while commenting on company and economical manners, instead of talking, what is required is hearing, is what could be advised! At such times do not go over board with motivational comms, keep them for later use!
If the down turn is going to impact your company or not is a different question. What you should be having with you right now is a mitigation plan.
Remember, a wrong comm can directly impact your attrition rate or under motivated workforce!

Given the turmoil in the market, I would like to know from you experts
as to what kind of internal public relations IT companies (small and
large) use to cement their relationship with their employees. If you
have any good ideas please share

Regards

Vikram
