As the H1N1 virus is spreading in the population the media is going in a frenzy of breaking news with every death and this is spreading panic.
The government had time yet when the outbreak happened they seemed to be completely caught off guard.The public hospitals are not equipped to handle a pandemic of the scale that India would witness.
With information flowing from all sources there is a lot of confusion , clearly there needs to be a coordinated communication strategy.
