I fully agree with the viewpoint expressed by Desikan.
There is hardly any leadership conflict or crisis in organisations like Rotary, Lions, Round Table, Y's Men etc. because the tenure is strictly one year for one set of office bearers. Moreover, the set of office bearers get elected at least one year ahead of their actual term so that they are Officials-elect and get good opportunity for exposure and training.
Moreover, in these organisations the Constitution is updated regularly and every member usually possesses one copy of the Constitution and bye laws. These case is quite contrary in or existing PR bodies.
If this is taken care of, the PR bodies will also act vibrantly. There is no dearth of talent in the Indian PR sector, what is wanting is good administration and dedication in the PR professional bodies.
