Pl add some caution. Not all events/launches go smoothly. Nearly 15 years back Gillette burnt their fingers when they tried to launch their new razors exclusively made for Europe.
Due to time difference between continents and US regulations, they had to inform the NSE.Since the US as a continent has different time zones the news spead in US about the launch and stores were swept with customers asking for the new Razor.Also News had impacted stock prices. While the company was ready for supplying to Europe, the demand was coming from US!
Today TV is instantaneous and global in reach. Convergence has brought all other media together, where they blend and borrow. Integrated budgeting of PR and communication and its management is critical.The entire firm/organizations need to be reoriented to understand the new communication environment.
