Hello,
My greetings to Dr.Abdul Kalam on his birthday today. He is one personality who has remained self-motivated, convinced in his values and belief and shares his wisdom with others who are willing to listen to him.
Thank you, Srinivasan for sharing his talk given to India Vision 2020 group. His advice is something that is relevant to all.
Fibre in diet helps digestion and food assimilation. The presence of fibre reflects the wholesome quality of the food, which in turn does good to the body to keep it fit and healthy, somewhat like exercising the digestive system, with cascading positive effects on the body as a whole.
Walking is one of the ideal and 'wholesome' exercises, because besides giving an overall exercise to the whole body, its particular value lies in the constant and continuous pressure of the points on the soles of the feet. Like palms, the soles too have pressure points that are connected to all the organs and critical parts of the body. Walking enables a 'massage' of these parts from the pressure points. This is beneficial to health. The same technique is used in Reiki therapy.
Meditation is exercise of our inner self and spirit. 'Man is not a physical being experiencing a spiritual experience, but a spiritual being experiencing a physical experience'. And so any strength works inside out. Emotional and spiritual discipline and exercise is essential for balance in life and living. Meditation is the key to this 'exercising' and conditioning of the spirit, enabling a balanced and intuitive outlook in life and of life.
The most important things in life come free and often easy, requiring just resolve and discipline, both of which are within our control. Yet, this is where one tends to slacken and in an adverse situation, resort to pointing the finger at circumstances and 'ill luck', failiing to notice that the truth lies in the direction of the three other fingers pointing back at the real culprit (self).
Just sharing some truths of life that are held with high value.
Cheers,
Susan
