[prpoint] Re: Prof. UKC joins International School of Business and Media

Thanks for this mail which I saw just now.

I wanted to create industry friendly experience of media education in all four parts of India and thats why this shift. It allows more autonomy and scope for more realistic experimentation by creating a Medical College-Hospital model in media education where trainees study for half the day and work in the other half in live projects.
This and many other innovations are not possible in the usual University pattern of education.

This job also allows me flexibility in publishing a monthly magazine like New Global Indian (www.newglobalindian.com) and run advertising-PR portal like www.icmlive.com. Shall be the executive producer of a feature film as well later this year.

Hope to get academic support of PR-advertising professionals in all four major cities of India where ISB&M School of Communication is coming up: Pune, Kolkata, Delhi and Bangalore. Pune and Kolkata are running, Delhi and Bangalore will have the communication schools in the same campuses as ISB&M Management from June 2010.

During his tenure at SIMC for nearly four years, he has positioned the Institute as one of the top Institutes for PR and Advertisement. Besides giving an experience to the students for managing the events, Footprints, remained as one of the brand-building exercises. He also introduced UG courses in SIMC.
