Subject: [prpoint] How Narendra Modi manages to keep himself at centre stage always?

hi all

If you observe the media closely, you will find that Narendra Modi manages to keep himself at the centre stage always, for the past few years.  Gujarat is comparatively a small state among the Indian states.  Every time, election happens, even the national channels spend maximum time on Gujarat.

Whether positive or negative,  Media is keeping Narendra Modi at the centre stage.  Even in the current week, when coal scam is being debated at national level,  Modi is the centre of attraction for one reason or other. .

Because of this, Modi has drawn the attention of the entire nation towards Gujarat.  Wherever Modi goes, he attracts a large crowd from the public and media.  If you closely observe, he speaks less and uses the opportunity to talk about Gujarat and the development stories.

Many national and international leaders visit Chennai in the normal course.  Whenever Modi visits Chennai, I have seen the 'Modi effect' remains in the media for at least three days.  Side by side, his development stories get published.   I do not find any other Chief Minister in India uses the media like this.

Even today, as I write this mail, Modi's comment on Malnutrition is being debated as the main topic in all channels. Many burning issues like coal scam, Ajmal Kasab  judgement, Assam issue are put to back stage.

Personally, I do not find anything bad in Modi's views.  Whenever I address the students, I always spend at least 10 minutes at the end of my speech for several years on the importance of girls keeping good health, as they are responsible for two generations.  Even Dr Abdul Kalam has several times, stressed the importance of girls keeping good health.  Even I have recorded and published an exclusive interview with Dr Abdul Kalam on the importance of youngsters taking  nutritious  food to maintain  good health.

My question is whether it is a PR strategy by Modi to become the PM candidate.  By coming to centre stage through negative stories, he has marketed the development stories of Gujarat and his achievements as a good CM.

Modi's opponents target him on every issue.  Media always prefers any news on Modi.  Is Modi cleverly converting all the challenges into an opportunity in his favour? Or his opponents fall into the trap laid by him?

Pl share your views.  No political views.  Only the PR aspect  may be debated.
