I think, Mr.Sinivasan (India Cements), ever said in his interview about Meiyappan presence as enthusiast over the 6 years. The word "enthusiast" can be considered in context with Meiyappan's add-on interest in making money using his influence as an "owner" of CSK.
It can be better understood as "he is not matured enough to be the owner of a cricket team which is already paying. Is Meiyappan not the owner? Right, this can probably be clarified after the investigation completed.
As of now it stands in public domain that, he is only an appointed person to head the IPL cricket team of India Cements. The company has a provision to appoint any one to head the operations. He/she
need not have to be the promoter or the share holder for it.
A person in that responsibility should not have indulged in betting. It must be purely his own interest, provided if he has not accepted any such money to CSK's account directly.
In my opinion we can not hold Mr.Srinivasan or India Cements responsible for this.

Now we can start discussing , BCCI chairman 'Media conf. He said Meiyappan
was only an 'enthusiast'.If that is a fact, why India Cement did not issue
legal notice to Meiyappan when his Social network profile claimed he was the
owner of CSK? Did the PR agency of India Cements and Srinivasan not
anticipate media questions and prepare the client?
We may also discuss PR disaster faced by Kapil Sibal. While trying to save
IPL chairman, the Govt walked into muddy waters. As any law about match
fixing will have prospective effect, the current illegal activities will be
exempt from such law. The G8vt showed undue haste in working on a new law.
In this case govt PR did not anticipate media questions, Sibal cut a sorry
figure.
This is what happens when PR sheds its 'guard dog' role, and accepts 'lap
dog' role.

Dear Shri Srinivasan,
It is an undisputed fact that PR has to be based on strong foundation of
TRUTH.
I recall an incident, that when 'Sanjay Gandhi' was ruling, a leading
nagazine reported about Air-India having doled out a BIG contract without
following usual procedure.
AIR India, denied saying it never happened. Next issue of the same magazine
quoited extracts from a Minutes of Board Meeting, when it was
approved/passed.
Further Chairman of BCCI making a public statment that 'he will fix media'
is most uncalled for. Lalit Modi is now having a good laugh sitting abroad.
BCCI is also not paying any TAX, as politically it was managed. It is time
that activities of BCCI are brought under RTI.

Dear Mr Srinivasan,
One after the other, the floodGates of sin are being opened.
Taking U turn has become quite common in every scam leaving people to
repeated shocks. Disowning a key functionary is keeping the impending
litigation and the judicial process in view.
Why should we take this whitewashing as an exercise of PR? Spot fixing is
purely an unethical business within a game business. Denying a partner is an
act of propaganda to mislead people and the authorities concerned.
If it is PR in crisis, there shall be truth and only truth. Unclean hands
can not beg for justice before law and a guilty face can not wear a PR
mask.
