It depends on whom the client wants to reach. If the
client wants extensive coverege in all regional
language papers too, then it is a MUST to call news
agencies, as most of the small newspapers of smaller
towns are members of news agencies and will cover the
news flashed by news agencies.
Irecall, during 70/80s, many local (Mumbai) news
papers, used to lift the news flash of PTI, as they
could not attend the Press Conference - may be due to
paucity of staff or pre-occupied with other important
assignment.
