Subject: [Image_Management] Re: The 1st International Conference on the Status & Role of Women in PR
Sorry for my observations but I feel that aren't we somehow
accentuating the gender factor at every fora? Gender is never a
criteria when it comes to professionalism. A man can be as empathatic,
creative, responsive, caring, as any woman can be. And I am sure no
woman is being discriminated against in PR that we need to define her
status and role in this profession.
And when it comes to creating special work conditions, the criteria
runs across the entire society. There are women in government, as well
as in private sector, and our responsibility today is to focus on
equality than redefining gender-specific roles in a profession.
These are just my personal thoughts and no criticism of any group.
