This is indeed an interesting observation .I must,however, point out
that it is not confined to young PR professionals but runs across
different streams as well.
In my limited interaction with some of the young PR professionals,
too have been shocked to notice a total lack of interest in knowing
more about their profession.Reading up on their profession itself is
perhaps one solution.It would,however, help greatly if some of the
young professionals catch up with the day-to-day developments in
their own industry at least .And current affairs too .You would be
surprised at the ignorance of some of the professionals( I am not
making a sweeping statement.Just a few instances that I have come
across) .Having said that,I must admit that I have been fortunate
enough to meet some bright and professional youngsters too from the
field.
